Youth Meeting on Draft African Communities Action Plan

African Communities Action PlanCalling young people to have your say!

If you're 16 to 30 years old, you are invited to meet with the Victorian Minister for Multicultural Affairs, Robin Scott, and tell him what you think of the draft African Communities Action Plan.

A draft of the Action Plan was released on 15 November 2017. You can download a copy at multicultural.vic.gov.au. The plan is being developed by the Victorian Government's African Ministerial Working Group, a group of 22 members including young people and other community leaders. The draft plan set outs a 12-year strategy to address long-standing issues affecting Victoria’s African communities. It sets out a range of solutions to the issues experienced by young people. Many actions are focused on empowering youth to lead, and helping youth to better connect and work more closely together.

This is your opportunity to tell Minister Scott whether you think the plan is focused on the right goals and outcomes for the future, and includes the right actions to get there.
